Industry R&D Infrastructure Fund

The Victorian State Government is investing in cutting edge manufacturing research and development projects to fuel innovation, create great local jobs and support Victoria’s booming manufacturing industry to compete in new global markets.

The Industry R&D Infrastructure Fund will provide matched grant funding of between $250,000 and up to $2 million awarded to businesses in Victoria to invest in new or enhanced R&D infrastructure.

“Grant recipients put Victoria at the forefront of technological advancements and boost productivity” – Minister for Jobs and Industry Natalie Hutchins.

GTE Technology is thrilled to be one of eight Victorian businesses being awarded this grant. From our Australian headquarters in Ballarat, Victoria, we design, develop, and manufacture world-class, proprietary, and patented equipment, empowering our clients to work and produce more efficiently and sustainably.

Innovation Centre

The Industry R&D Infrastructure Fund will assist GTE Technology in constructing a new $3.5 million Innovation Centre at our Ballarat headquarters. The centre will be equipped with the latest GTE Technology product range for internal, contract and collaborative R&D, leading to improved and novel food and food seed processing equipment, as well as food and seed products. The facility will also be used for classroom-based operator training, seed testing, recipe development and contract manufacturing.

“We are dedicated to increasing and sustaining job creation. The Innovation Centre will equip us with the necessary resources to increase productivity, advance sustainable manufacturing technology and create growth opportunities.”
