Enter a New Dimension of Seed Enhancement

Last month, the Australian Seed Federation (ASF) hosted its largest Seed Business in history. This remarkable event brought together professionals from all ends of Australia to collaborate on innovative ideas, learn from esteemed industry leaders, and cultivate valuable relationships. The event was a tremendous success, from the thought-provoking speakers and insightful sessions to the gala dinner and great exhibitors’ pitches.

Seed Enhancement: Efficient, Versatile and Gentle

GTE, alongside its partner PETKUS, presented its products and technologies at Seed Business 2024. The booth featured innovative technologies, live demonstrations, and immersive AR experiences while the team enjoyed connecting with industry peers.

Delegates had the opportunity to experience the GTE 250FB Dryer in action, designed to gently dry coated seed from 100% true fluidisation. This energy-saving technology can uniform batch drying of high-build seed coat up to 1200% in a single pass. It has been engineered for various applications, including drying, cooling, product enhancement, and self-healing of damaged seed coat.

AI-Assisted Sorting: Higher Yield and Easier Operation

Delegates experienced an exclusive live demonstration of the PETKUS optical sorter OS f3.0, designed to clean small seeds at the highest quality level where standard colour sorters fall short. The new AI-supported IRIS software not only dramatically simplifies recipe creation but also improves the precision of optical fine seed sorting with the OS f.

Shared Journey, Shared Success

Mikhail Rumyantsev from PETKUS HQ in Germany joined the GTE team at Seed Business 2024, where he shared his expert knowledge of seed enhancement and sorting. Mikhail’s extended stay in Australia included visiting GTE clients from Queensland to Tasmania before concluding his trip to Australia at the GTE HQ in Ballarat, Victoria.

Seeding the future

Congratulations to the ASF team on hosting another insightful and vibrant Seed Business Convention. GTE remains committed to keeping the Australian seed industry moving forward and evolving to meet changing demands. We look forward to seeing you all again for Seed Business 2025 in Christchurch with the New Zealand Grain and Seed Trade Association.
